Women's CanAm - International Rugby Test Match
USA Rugby's Women's National Team (WNT) will take on Rugby Canada this summer in Glendale's Infinity Park. First up is USA A vs Canada A, kicking off at 6pm on Tuesday, June 23rd. This match will be a great opportunity for up and coming players from both programs to step up to the plate and test themselves against international opposition. The highlight match will be USA vs Canada at 6pm on Saturday, June 27th. The longtime rivals will battle it out as they each take the next step in preparation for the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup.
The USA women are hungry to avenge a defeat to Canada at the Nations Cup in England last August. The team is thrilled to have the rare opportunity to play in front of a home crowd and encourages all fans of women's rugby in the U.S. to come watch the match and support the team in person! As part of the celebration of this home Test match, Infinity Park and the WNT are proud to announce that a special recognition ceremony honoring all former Women Eagles will be held at the match. Former Eagles are specifically invited to attend the match, to be recognized and honored, and to connect with the current team.
